To my youth is a student-led project that advocates the importance of mental health targeting to the topics of anxiety and depression in teens. Furthermore using art to express these topics but also to help teens heal through various forms of art.
%#CONTEXT
✧Global Context: Personal and cultural expression; As mental health is personal, we all feel and think differently and how we express it goes for the same. We’re all different and we have different backgrounds and stories to tell
✧Inquiry Question: HOW CAN I RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF TEEN MENTAL HEALTH, ESPECIALLY ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION TO THE AUDIENCE?
✧RESEARCH QUESTION: HOW CAN VARIOUS FORMS OF ART EXPRESS AND INFORM THE IMPORTANCE OF TEEN MENTAL HEALTH TO THE AUDIENCE?

My goal is to be able to express emotions of anxiety and depression and bring awareness to the society that mental health is important especially to young teenagers. I want to express this information and emotions through various forms of art such as visual and performing. Furthermore, I’m trying to use art as a way to heal and bring positivity to teens. In regards to the community, I will be selling my own merchandise and the profit made will be donated to Dr. RSJ Soeharto heerdjan with a goal of 1 million rupiahs. The message I want to convey to my audience is to inform them that it is okay not to be okay sometimes and you are not alone.

%#TO MY MIND
“To My Mind” is a collaboration between Mind Tied (Firsya) and To My Youth (Jasmine). Through our collaboration, we hope to provide convenient products to those of us who are quarantined and also help mental health facilities struggling with the shortage of funds brought by the pandemic. We hope that our products can shed a positive light during hard times like these and bring joy to all. Profits will be donated to RSJ Soeharto Heerdjan.

#!Mental Health
Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well being. Anyone's mental health can change overtime. From being healthy to not but also how we progress later on in life. Your mental health matters and is valid. Mental health affects your choices and actions as well.It plays an important role in your life. Although your mental health matters the most, it does not mean you disregard someone else's because that can impact them as-well.
#!Mental Health in teens
Adolescence; a person's life between childhood and adulthood.It is a human development of a person moving from dependency to independence. it is a multi-dimensional progression rather than a linear progression from childhood to adult.At this point of stage, teens go through a lot of factors, changes and challenges.
#♡ Anxiety?
Anxiety is a natural body response of fear, usually of what to come. Everyone feels anxious once in a while of ever more often. Anxiety occurs to anyone and to this day in age, anxiety happens to most youths. A person's anxiety can range from different levels. Anxiety disorder is one of the outcomes of a high level of anxiety. People with anxiety can be intense and debilitating. This level of anxiety may cause you to stop doing things you enjoy and become less motivated. Anxiety disorders are the most common form of the emotional disorder that can affect anyone at age.
#✩ Depression?
Alongside with anxiety, anxiety can be followed up with depression. dEPRESSION CAUSES FEELINGS OF SADNESS THAT IS mostly more intense than usual. this can lead to loss of interest in activities once enjoyed as well. Depression again can vary from mild to severe which includes difficulty thinking, fatigue, trouble sleeping and more. Like anxiety, they are both treatable in many different ways. Depression is different from sadness or grief. It is a more difficult experience to endure. Being sad does not mean you have depression.The grieving process is also normal for each individual in terms of emotions.
